Simulation of pixel detectors with GEANT4

The prototype of the description of pixel barrel detectors with XML format:

  • Pixel barrel geometry description in XML file.
  • Material description in XML file, including some common types of materials.
  • Barrel pixel stereo view with PERSINT viewer directly from XML file. It is stripped from service elements for clarity.
  • Barrel pixel stereo view with DAWN viewer from GEANT4 description. The GEANT-4 description was produced by G4builder client of the generic model starting from XML description. It is stripped from service elements for clarity.

    • Illustration of the problem of different interpretation of rotation angles in old G4Builder and PERSINT/G4AGDD/G4Builder(new 16.10.00):

  • Example of SIMP.xml file which is interpreted differently in G4Builder and PERSINT/FrameDetectorConstruction.
  • PERSINT view of SIMP.xml file.
  • DAWN view produced by old G4Builder out of SIMP.xml file.
  • DAWN view produced by new version of G4Builder(16.10.00) out of SIMP.xml file.
