Connector specification
As long as the standard J3/P3 backplane for the Atlas-Pxl ROD crate is not
installed in your teststand,
you need to connect the J3/P3 of ROD and BOC by means of a
(2+3)×32 pin (VME64 standard) connector (rows a-c+z+d).
We describe here possible sources of supply and a mechanical accessory for positioning the connector correctly in a VME64 crate.
This is a non-representative and private list of producers and vendors, which I contacted in the process of our aquisition.

Mechanical supportYou may get around with simply plugging the connector on the ROD (first!) and inserting the BOC while carefully checking the alignment of all pins in the BOC connector. But it is better to fix the position of the connector by a backplane-like support in metal or isolating material, in order to avoid that the additional connector slips too far into the BOC connector, hence causing contact problems on the ROD side! The way we used in Marseille to fix the position of the connector is a 2mm aluminium plate, which can be mounted at the J3/P3 position of the standard Atlas 9U VME64 crate.
